INFORMATION   TECHNOLOGY                                                                                                       A set of two or more computers connected together to share  information  and resources is called an information network . information network  is also called computer  network . information network is combination of two  important  technologies. These are computing  and  telecommunication . these process of transferring information from one point to  another  point  using  cable  or  wirles media  is called telecommunication .the computer . of  network are connected with the help pf cables . satellites ,phones  line or wireless media local area   network  (LAN).wide area network (WAN) .metropolitan  area networks (MAN) and   internet  are  examples of information  network.

           WORKING COMPUTING

A group of people  working together of a task and  sharing  information  through  computer  network is called workgroup . The  process  of sharing  information by  using  a computer network   is called  workgroup  computing . it is  also  called  collaborative  computing .

The  member  of a workgroup  may  be in different  cities  or  countries  of  the  word.

They  can share  their  ideas  and experience using computer network .

Different  type  of data like picture ,sound  videos , graphics  and text can be  exchange  amoung   the  member of workgroup  .

The  transfer  of information  over computer  network  is very fast  and efficient . the idea  of workgroup  computing  is playing an important  role in  research  and development . this   idea   is very popular in developed  countries .
Information can be in different  databases . Different operating  system.data  formats  and hardware  can be  used in  different  networks .the members can communicate with each  other  without  any  problem. Communication technology  has brought  revolution in computing .Due to  communication  technology and  computing  the  word has  became a global village.
